The Lobby
Situated directly outside Courtroom One, the largest, most ornate and imposing of the Courtrooms, the Lobby has a wealth of interesting features that include wooden panelling with carved coats of arms, and intricate stained glass. These flourishes combine to convey a sense of grandeur and heritage, making this a setting of distinction. The room is suitable for drinks receptions, conferences, meetings and private dinners.

The Lawyers' Suite
A beautiful room overlooking Parliament Square, the Lawyers' Suite is perfect for smaller intimate dinners or receptions. The room houses some of the Court’s collection of law books, and is adorned with a beautifully decorated ceiling.
It can also be used for pre-dinner drinks by guests when hired in conjunction with the Lobby on the floor above. There are a number of pieces of artwork for guests to enjoy in sophisticated surroundings.
The room is versatile and can be used for a number of functions such as drinks receptions, private dinners, meetings, conferences and workshops.

Venue hire policy
As you will understand, The Supreme Court needs to reserve the right to decline to enter into a hire agreement with any organisation seeking to run an event which might undermine the dignity of the Court or the perception of the fair administration of justice. In practice this means that we are unlikely to accept bookings for policy/report launches, party political events or businesses operating in controversial trading sectors. Similarly, to avoid any perceived risk to public understanding of the independence of the Court, we are unable to offer room hire to Government departments.
